AED → EUR converter, real fees included
Google gives you the mid-market rate. Nobody actually gives you that rate. This tool shows what really lands in euros with each option, FX margin and hidden fees included.
| Option | EUR received | Real cost | Fee breakdown |
|---|
The 'real cost' adds the displayed fees AND the gap between the applied rate and mid-market: that is where most of a bank's cost hides.
Only AED → EUR bank transfers are compared; card payments and cash withdrawals follow other fee grids.
Fees checked on 9 September 2026 against official schedules and the Wise API; providers can change them without notice. Rows marked 'estimate' rely on observed margins, not a published grid. Revolut does not yet open accounts to UAE residents (CBUAE licences granted in June 2026).

Frequently asked questions
Why does the amount received differ from the Google rate?
Google shows the mid-market rate, the midpoint between interbank buy and sell prices. No provider gives you that rate: each adds fixed fees and, above all, a margin on the rate. This converter adds both to show the real cost.
What is the cheapest way to send AED to euros?
For a standard transfer, providers that convert at mid-market with a transparent fee (Wise-style) come out ahead on almost every amount. Traditional banks stack a transfer fee, an FX margin and correspondent bank charges, often 3 to 4% in total.
Are UAE bank fees really 2 to 4%?
The visible line is the transfer fee (AED 26.25 at Emirates NBD outside free corridors), but the margin applied to the exchange rate weighs far more: about 2.4% observed, plus correspondent bank charges in euros. That is why the table reasons in 'what arrives' rather than displayed fees.
Are these figures up to date?
Fees were checked on 9 September 2026 against official schedules and the Wise API, and the mid-market rate refreshes daily. Providers can change their grids without notice: always check the amount received shown before confirming a transfer.
