Register for VAT with Claude, straight from your invoices

VAT registration on EmaraTax is heavier than Corporate Tax: you have to evidence your turnover. This open source Claude skill starts from your invoices, computes the ledger and the thresholds, then fills in the application section by section. Your only job: gather the invoices.

How it works

/01

Install the skill

Clone the GitHub repo and copy the folder into ~/.claude/skills/. One minute, free, fully readable code.

/02

Hand over your invoices

PDFs, CSV exports from your invoicing tool or photos: Claude turns them into a turnover ledger and tells you where you stand against the thresholds.

/03

Claude fills, you approve

Logged into EmaraTax yourself, you let it complete the VAT sections from your documents and the ledger, up to the final summary you submit.

Built to be simple and safe

You gather your invoices, that is all

Invoices issued over the last 12 months, purchase invoices if you aim for voluntary registration, signed contracts for the next 30 days. Everything else is mechanical.

Turnover computes itself

Claude reads the invoices, builds the monthly ledger excluding VAT, computes the rolling 12-month total and the date the thresholds were crossed (AED 375,000 mandatory, AED 187,500 voluntary).

You stay in control and you submit

The tool never types a password or an OTP, and stops before the final declaration: you read, you tick, you click Submit.

Zero tax advice

The tool decides neither whether you must register nor the VAT treatment of any transaction: every ambiguity is flagged for an FTA-registered tax agent.

This tool is not tax advice and is not affiliated with the FTA. VAT thresholds and rules can change: verify them on tax.gov.ae. You remain responsible for what you submit; to know whether you must register or how to treat a transaction, consult a registered tax agent.
